2020 Vision For The Pause Pursuit – What This Means For You | Better To Give Than Receive – Part 2

If you haven’t already, read Part 1 of Better To Give Than Receive here first.

Maybe 2019 has been a year of personal growth for you.

Maybe it has been a year of refinement and stretching.

Or maybe it’s been a year of fear and failure.

Has it has been a year of lack and loss?

Maybe it has been a year in pursuit of saying no, or pausing the things of this world, to embrace the plans and desires God has put on your heart.

Or maybe it’s been none of that.

Maybe this year, survival was your main goal.

Whether divorce, miscarriage, a job loss, or being too busy to focus or even think about the future let alone the present.

Us too.

This year has brought so much change, and it has been hard.

You too?

I’m so glad you said that! (We were starting to feel like the only ones!)

Between a massive job loss for Matt from corporate America, we had never faced scarier circumstances in our life after just moving into a new house in a new town, all while having two toddlers to try and keep up with.

But how many of you know, in those times of what often seems like great loss, God is producing in us something far greater than what can be built on the mountain tops. So, here we are sharing a little of our hearts, and God’s vision with you for the dreams that He’s set our eyes on, our 2020 vision year for The Pause Pursuit and our family!

Family Sitting on Front Porch

God has BIG VISION through The Pause Pursuit this year, and we are asking and believing for God to prompt the hearts of at least 20 individuals to give $20 monthly to carry out this 2020 vision in the new year through this ministry.

Please consider partnering with us through your financial support as you plan your year-end contributions and gifts. Giving and partnering with us financially doesn’t just mean you GIVE to us.  It means you are officially AN ACTIVE PART in this ministry, and on this journey with us! (as mentioned previously in Part 1 here)

That’s so important for us to understand. It truly is better to give than receive. Giving is not simply a way to support The Pause Pursuit, giving makes you a part of the ministry itself!

With your support in 2020, we will be able to:

  • Partner with Family Life Services. Where we will minster through financial support as well as speaking/hosting classes. The Family Life Services clinic is located in Ypsilanti, Michigan. We will be helping share the love of Christ to young women with unplanned pregnancies, and help guide them as they raise and develop their children from infancy-3 years of age through biblical principles and sharing the love of Jesus. This clinic provides accurate information regarding women’s options and provides support to them through pregnancy and single parenting. We are excited to be a part of it!
  • Host marriage conferences that will enable couples to slow down to pursue God and each other while strengthening the bond of marriage, restoring hope, and establishing practical, biblical truths to implement in their homes and with their families.
  • Publish our first book! This is so exciting because it’s been on our radar for nearly 10 years. We are in the beginning phases of this, but truly believe that 2020 will be the year that God expands our faith to write this book. It takes financial support and prayer from all of you, and we are so grateful you’re able to plant seeds and be on this journey with us. We can’t wait to see the way God uses us and speaks to us to minister to all of you through this publication.
  • Continue creating content as God leads to strengthen, develop, and share real-life moments to encourage others in their family, marriage, and walk as a Christian to live out their calling in the ministry they are in and reaching the lost in their circles. As we’ve committed our time, resources, and left corporate America in faith that God would promote this ministry, we can’t continue this calling without financial support and resources to continue to provide for our family.

Giving is compassionate, giving is a ministry, giving is wise, giving is worship, and giving is safe because we serve the God of abundant riches. He will take care of us. It’s better to give than receive.

As believers, our greatest desire is that the God who made us, the God who saved us, and the God who will bring us into his kingdom one day will receive glory forever and ever.

There is no greater motivator than the glory of God backing your giving, and giving is one way we’re called to honor Him.

So, now, it’s your turn. See what the Bible has to say about giving, and pray how God would have you partner with us financially as we enter the new year with BOLD 2020 vision, together!
